VINCENT’S SWIRL OF STARS UNPAINTED

Your self-torn life, drawn to paint. A narrow sunlit wooden room where all a man need do is lie upon his single bed beneath the many-colored coverlets to muse to sleep upon a swirl of stars until the greys and streaks of morning come.

Roger Craik is English by birth and educated at British universities. He lives live in Ashtabula, Ohio. His poems have been published in England, Australia, and America, translated into Bulgarian, Romanian, and Belarusian, and he has written four full-length books of poetry, of which the most recent is Down Stranger Roads (2014). A new book, In Other Days, is in press.
